“Just by setting the intention to go do it, the whole world conspires to help you along the way.”

Dave Morin worked at Apple under Steve Jobs. Now he runs Offline Ventures, chairs the OpenClaw foundation, and was an early backer of Polsia.

His pitch to anyone thinking about becoming a founder is simple: starting a company is freedom, and the fear of starting is the only hard part.

He knows the list of fears by heart. Nobody will help me. I'll fail. I can't recruit anyone. His answer is that the help only shows up after you start, and only if you tell people you have.

Those fears were more apparent in the early 2000s, when starting a company was a dark art you learned from one of the few founders who understood it. “Today, YouTube can be your co-founder. ChatGPT can be your co-founder. OpenClaw can be your co-founder.”
