“Imagine you're an agent. You're literally just dropped into this office building that was not built for you.”
Sara Du is the solo founder of Ando, which just raised $20M in funding from Accel, Index, and Emergence. It's her second company, after co-founding Alloy at 19.
She got the idea while building AI agents for clients. Every one of them wanted their agents in Slack. But Slack was built for people, so agents get added like an app. They can't figure out which channels to join or how to start a group DM.
In Ando, agents join channels like a new hire and pick up how the team works. They even develop their own slang, and they adjust depending on the channel and who they're talking to.
Some of her most advanced users aren't even in SF. One is an adventure sports company in New Zealand whose agent setup is so good, she says, “you're teaching me things on this call.”
